Episode #19- Carla Romero
The One with Carla Romero
Carla Romero is an entrepreneur, an award-winning fundraiser for cancer research, and the author of Dare to Deviate.
Listen as she shares her story of struggle, sacrifice, and obedience that has delivered success in many areas of her life!
At the end of 2014, Carla Romero dared to deviate by stepping away from the traditional Corporate path and joining a non-traditional business opportunity. While she loved the people (and the paycheck) with her previous jobs, her heart longed for so much more.
With each passing year of denying her God-given gifts and talents, she felt that her true self was becoming more of a distant memory. The decision to take the leap was rooted in prayer and taken on as a holy adventure with The One who created her for more.
Though there have been ups and downs, the journey has been one of revitalization and joy. She now ranks among the top 2% of achievers in her organization, and through this has learned valuable and defining lessons on the importance of believing in yourself and never losing sight of your priorities.
In 2018, she received the honor of being nominated for Woman of the Year by The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society where she helped raise a record breaking $1.5 million in 10 weeks in the fight for a cure. She now serves as co-chair for the LLS Leadership Team and takes great pride in selecting this year's new candidates.
Carla enjoys spending time with her husband, Johnatan, and their 2-year-old daughter, Nadia, as they excitedly await the birth of their son in July of 2019.
