Episode #29- Lisa Whittle
The One with Lisa Whittle
Jesus is everything. This is the heart, the passion and the leadership approach of author and speaker, Lisa Whittle.
As the daughter of a pastor, Lisa’s longest community is with the Church, which has become her greatest place of ministry. Her love runs deep to see people pursue Jesus for life, grow deep roots of faith, and walk strong in the midst of a world that so often seems to have gone crazy. For this reason, Lisa has dedicated her life to writing and speaking about the truth of Jesus Christ and how wanting Him the most changes everything.
Lisa is the author of 6 books including her latest, Put Your Warrior Boots On, and 40-day devotional, 5 Word Prayers. In January 2018, she launched the daily 5-minute devotional podcast – 5 Word Prayers Daily, now known as Jesus Over Everything, which debuted on iTunes in the Top 25 of Religious/Christian podcasts and has over 600,000 downloads in 2018.
Lisa is the Founder of Ministry Strong, a ministry for leaders to help equip to preach the Gospel with integrity, prioritize family relationships, and learn proper soul care to serve Jesus with strength for the long haul. She is a sought out Bible teacher for her wit and bold, bottom line approach. Her with you-for you signature style is a favorite of audiences who have her coming back to speak into them year, after year. From retreats to rehab facilities to college campuses to the large church or conference stage, Lisa’s desire remains the same: to point people to the Jesus who can change their life.
In addition to speaking, writing and podcasting, Lisa is a guest favorite on Susie Larson and has been featured on The Jesus Calling Podcast, The Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey, IF Gathering, That Sounds Fun with Annie Downs, Family Life Today, The Busted Halo, and many other stations across the United States and Canada. She has had writing stints with Women of Faith, Catalyst, Relevant and various other high profile blogs and publications such as MichaelHyatt.com, Ann Voskamp, and Proverbs 31.
Lisa has done master’s work in Marriage and Family Counseling and advocated for Compassion, International. Wife, mom, lover of laughter, good food, interior design and The Bible, Lisa is a grateful work in progress.
